Aissis (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Aissis platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Account Information

• Email address (used for authentication and notifications)
• Name (if provided)
• Profile image (if provided via OAuth)

Usage Data

• Tasks, projects, notes, and knowledge base content you create
• Updates and interactions with AI features
• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)

AI Processing Data

• Text you submit for AI analysis (task updates, assistant messages)
• Images attached to updates or assistant messages (processed but not stored)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To process your task updates through AI analysis
• To send notifications and reminders you configure
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To respond to support requests
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the product (aggregated, anonymized data only)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Aissis:

• OpenAI — processes your text for AI analysis and assistant features. Data is sent via API and is subject to OpenAI's API data usage policy. OpenAI does not use API data to train models.
• MongoDB Atlas — stores your data in encrypted-at-rest databases.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (magic links, notifications).
• Vercel — hosts the application infrastructure.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Authentication is handled via secure, time-limited magic links or OAuth tokens.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Archived tasks and their AI-generated summaries are retained as part of your knowledge base until you delete them or close your account.

You have the right to:

• Access and export your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential emails

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics cookies (if any) are used only to improve the Service and can be opted out of.

Aissis is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
